Anthony Davis has spent his entire career with the New Orleans Pelicans, after being drafted by the team back in 2012. The 25-year-old is a five-time NBA All-Star and he has been one of the most dominant forces in the NBA over the last few years.
So far this season, Davis is averaging 28.7 points, 13.2 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game, and he is firmly in the race to win his first MVP award. The centre is currently under contract with the franchise for two more seasons, although he has a player option for the 2020-21 season.
The heart of the matter
The New Orleans Pelicans have once again struggled this season (19-22), and Davis has continually stated his desire to win an NBA Championship. Ultimately, both the Celtics and Lakers would offer Davis a platform to win, and a summer move looks increasingly likely.
